They pride ourselves on a safety-first culture, reliable delivery and strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners.Role summaryWe are hiring an experienced Warehouse / Yard person to carry out day-to-day operations of yard and materials store. You will work in a small team, control stock and site deliveries, operate plant and forklifts, and ensure safe, efficient handling of materials to support project programmes. Key responsibilities for Warehouse / Yard Person
• Yard and store operations including receiving, storing, picking and issuing materials and plant.
• Take deliveries and collections with suppliers, subcontractors and site teams.
• Operate forklift and other light plant for loading/unloading and safe movement of materials.
• Maintain accurate stock records, carry out stock counts and report discrepancies.
• Workin the yard to health & safety standards.
• Ensure yard is organised, secure and maintained (fuel, spill kits, waste segregation where applicable).
• Prepare paperwork and records for materials, plant movements and vehicle checks.Required experience and qualifications
• Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in a yard/warehouse role within civils, construction, utilities or heavy industry.
• Valid telehandler licence 
• Good numeracy and IT literacy to manage stock records and basic reporting
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel locally to project sites when required.Skills and behaviours
• Organised, decisive and able to prioritise under pressure.
• Strong communicator with the ability to coordinate between site teams, drivers and suppliers.
• Practical, hands-on approach with attention to detail and care for material condition.
• Proactive about health & safety and promoting safe working standards.
• Reliable, flexible with a positive attitude to weekend or early starts if operationally required.Salary and benefits for Warehouse / Yard Supervisor
• Salary: £32,000 per year.
