Our public sector client are looking for a Book Bus Driver/Library Assistant to join them on a temporary basis.
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 13:00-20:00 (additional weekend hours available)

Pay Rate - £13.71ph

Requirements:

* CPC qualification

* 7.5 tonne driving licence

* Works alongside a Library Assistant or Manager

Role Purpose:
Drive the Bookbus across Leicester and support delivery of community library services, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and reliable experience for users.

Key Responsibilities:

* Drive the Bookbus to schools, street stops, and events

* Carry out routine vehicle checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance

* Ensure vehicle safety, security, and readiness for use

* Welcome and assist customers, including operating accessibility equipment

* Support activities and engage with children, families, and the public

* Handle basic enquiries and escalate issues when needed

* Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid if required
