The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager to drive commercial success across the London and South East region. This role is ideal for a results-driven pharmaceutical sales professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales targets through an effective key account management approach
- Develop and execute robust account plans to maximise opportunities and drive revenue growth
- Build a strong presence across the territory, creating a positive environment for promoted products
- Develop deep understanding of the local healthcare ecosystem, ensuring optimal patient access
- Gather and share market insights and competitor intelligence to inform strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, medical, and market access teams
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the NHS landscape, including national and local funding pathways
Key Requirements
- Degree in a science or business-related discipline
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in branded pharmaceutical sales, ideally within secondary care
- Strong understanding of NHS structures, including NHS England and regional systems
- Demonstrated track record of sales achievement in the pharmaceutical industry
- Established networks within relevant therapy areas and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) (desirable)
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong IT proficiency
