An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Housekeeper to join a large, well-managed private country residence in Oxfordshire

This is a hands-on role within a structured and supportive housekeeping team, ideal for a candidate who takes pride in exceptional standards and enjoys working within a professional, collaborative household environment.

The Role

Working closely with the Head Housekeeper and House Manager, you will help ensure the home is consistently immaculate, well organised, and always guest-ready

This position offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to be part of a warm yet highly professional household team.

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (Weekend working required on a rota basis)

Key Responsibilities

* Daily cleaning and servicing of bedrooms, bathrooms and reception rooms

* Laundry and wardrobe management

* Maintaining consistently high presentation standards throughout the property

* Supporting preparations for both small gatherings and larger-scale events

* Assisting in the kitchen and preparing simple, well-executed family meals when required

* Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised, and well managed

* Working collaboratively within the housekeeping team

About You

* Experienced within a private household or similarly high-standard environment

* Highly detail-oriented with pride in presentation

* Confident preparing simple, family-style meals (this is not a chef role)

* Team-focused with a flexible, positive attitude

* Ideally in possession of a full UK driving licence

* Comfortable working around four small to medium-sized dogs

* Willing to work weekends as part of a rota
