We are seeking Teaching Assistants Level 2 to join a range of inclusive and supportive secondary schools across Northampton. These roles are perfect for individuals committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
About the Role As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to assist students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You'll provide targeted support, help build confidence, and foster engagement for learners who may need extra guidance or encouragement.
Key Responsibilities:

Support teaching and learning in line with the national curriculum

Work 1:1 or with small groups to support learning, behaviour, and engagement

Assist students with SEND or EHCPs as needed

Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, structured classroom environment

Help with classroom organisation, learning materials, and daily routines

Build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
Who We're Looking For:

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Experience working with children or young people in a school or youth setting

Excellent communication skills and a patient, supportive approach

Adaptable and confident in handling different classroom needs

Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact

Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour management (training provided if required)
