SEN Teacher - The role

Children work in small classes with highly supportive and skilled teaching assistant teams. This includes the provision of support staff with a SaLT specialism. As an all through school, the school welcome applications from teachers who have experience teaching within any key phase from Early Years to Post 16. Special school experience is not a requirement, but the successful candidates will have had success working with children with SEN.

SEN Teacher - The school

The SEN school has up to 150 pupils aged 4-19, with a range of moderate learning difficulties. Some pupils also have severe learning difficulties. Some pupils have additional social, emotional, and behavioural challenges to work through. A significant proportion of pupils have an Autistic Spectrum Condition diagnosis, or present with more complex social and communication difficulties. A small but significant group of pupils have Higher Sensory Processing Needs.
