A lovely independent children's publisher is looking for an ambitious and outstanding International Sales professional. This role will involve selling beautiful children's books across 3 imprints, targeting mainly the US markets. The client is based in Suffolk and this position can be done on a hybrid working basis or remotely, so this could be a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team and make a real impact on the business.

Our client is looking for a confident sales person who thrives in a target-driven environment and enjoys building and maintaining successful relationships. Your responsibilities will include negotiating deals; finalising contracts and ensuring deadlines are met. You will be expected to research new markets and develop new contacts.

Key responsibilities:

Finding and building new opportunities to grow list of US accounts
Working with the Rights department to home in on objectives and turnover for assigned territories
Negotiating on price, costs, and delivery with buyers and internal customers
Analysing sales data and applying it to sales strategies
Attending book fairs
Making sales trips abroad to territories
Promoting the company's own brand products

This is a great opportunity for someone with a successful track of selling children's books to the US, who is looking for a fantastic new challenge as well as an opportunity to contribute to the success of a renowned publishing house. The ideal candidate would be an analytical, passionate person, with great communication and interpersonal skills. Our client would also consider people at all levels and other backgrounds such as selling into a mass international market.
