We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Burton Latimer. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, training, and the chance to be part of a highly skilled production team.

Salary: £29,243.80 per annum
Contract: Permanent

Duties:

Assembly and fitting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components to 3.5T commercial vehicles in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Carrying out function checks and quality inspections upon completion of installations
Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics
Completing vehicle mechanical and hydraulic installations, including wiring, panel work, and component fitting
Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems during build
Using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools to complete work to a high standard
Following Health & Safety and Environmental policies at all times
Supporting continuous improvement by contributing to process improvements and efficienciesThe ideal candidate must:

Have proven experience in engineering assembly or fitting within a manufacturing environment
Be confident working with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Have knowledge of applying torque, fitting flow restrictors, filters, and valve banks
Possess good hand tool skills and experience with pneumatic/power tools
Be able to carry out wiring, loom preparation, splicing, termination, and crimping
Have the ability to work from technical drawings and schematics
Be safety-conscious and able to follow risk assessments and use PPE correctly
