Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Full Time (08:30-4:00pm)

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday (08:30am - 4:00pm)

Sugarman Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive school in Sutton for a full-time Learning Support Assistant to start this September. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with classroom experience to join a supportive school environment where you can make a real difference.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum and thrive in both academic and social settings. You'll be working Monday to Friday, from 08:30am to 4:00pm, during term time.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support teaching and learning in the classroom as a proactive Learning Support Assistant.

* Provide 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual pupils' needs.

* Assist with behaviour management and promote positive social and emotional development.

* Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to deliver targeted support.

* Modify and adapt learning materials to ensure inclusivity and accessibility.

* Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements:

* Previous classroom experience as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role is essential.

* Experience working with children with autism, speech and language delays, ADHD, or learning difficulties.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* A positive, adaptable attitude and genuine passion for working with children.

* Must be able to work full-time, Monday to Friday (08:30am-4:00pm).

* Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one through Sugarman Education. If not registered on the Update Service, we can assist with the application process.
