About the Role

We are working with a leading consultancy seeking a talented Transport Planner to join their Development Planning team. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality transport advice and technical outputs for a range of planning and development projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to further your career in a collaborative and supportive environment, working closely with engineers and clients to shape transport strategies for future developments.

Key Responsibilities

*

Prepare and contribute to Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans.

*

Conduct site access appraisals, junction capacity assessments, and parking reviews.

*

Assist with the production of transport chapters for Environmental Statements.

*

Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

*

Support senior team members with project management and proposal preparation.

*

Analyse transport data using software such as TRICS, Junctions (PICADY/ARCADY), and TEMPro.

About You

*

Minimum 2 years' experience in a transport/development planning role in the UK.

*

Strong understanding of the UK planning system and relevant transport guidance (e.g. NPPF, Manual for Streets).

*

Proficient in technical analysis tools and report writing.

*

Educated to degree level in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

*

Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to grow professionally.
