Year 5 Teacher - Gillingham

Full-Time - MPS+TLR- September 2025 Start

Tradewind are recruiting for an experienced Primary Teacher to take on responsibility of a Year 5 Teacher with Phase Lead responsibilities for KS2 on offer for the right candidate at a Primary School in Gillingham. This role is full-time and would be on a temp-to-perm basis. This is for a September start and experienced teachers looking to take the next step in their career are encouraged to apply!

The school is a 2-form entry primary school in Gillingham near the town centre. They are graded Good by Ofsted and have a wonderful culture of nurture and support both for the staff and students. The school has limited parking and is easier to access via public transport.

The Role

Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum with responsibility for a Year 5 Teacher.
Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported and challenged appropriately with the work set.
Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of studentsRequirements

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
Experience as a Year 5 Teacher, or teaching KS2 and time as a Year Lead or Phase Leader would be highly desirable but not essential.
Track record of leading in areas of school improvement or curriculum and student outcomes would be highly desirable but not essential.
Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
Have right to work in the UK
