Job Description

Ready to make the world a healthier, happier and more beautiful place? We are looking for a creative, highly-skilled Copywriter to join our fast-growing team. You will work closely with the Brand and Marketing Director to establish and execute the brand’s voice across channels and the media mix. You will be responsible for developing creative concepts and writing copy for print, web, digital ads, video, collateral, emails, social, packaging, retail and more.

This position requires ecomm writing experience (emails, landing pages, ads), as well as the ability to think conceptually and come up with witty/clever headers and subheads. You should be up to date on beauty, lifestyle, and fashion trends and have a passion for the industry. The ideal candidate is fun, outgoing, and a great team player.



  • Bring to life the HUM voice–witty, educated, inspiring, and positive–across channels and the media mix

  • Develop brand messages and express our value prop in clear, concise, and meaningful way

  • Write ecomm copy that performs (CTR, open rate, conversions) for emails, landing pages, and digital ads

  • Develop ownable brand concepts that can be leveraged for innovative marketing campaigns, exciting brand collaborations, and new product launches

  • Create persuasive messages and compelling stories that attract, inform, educate, inspire, and engage while also generating brand loyalty in consumers

  • Create product names and descriptions for our packaging, website and retailers

  • Collaborate with the Education & Marketing teams to plan and develop onsite content and storytell of how our products are made, the benefits and expectations all the while infusing our fun personality along the discovery journey.

  • Collaborate with our Community team to write fun and creative captions

  • Collaborate with Marketing to find the best copy hooks and stories to introduce HUM to a new audience, write fun but educational and informative copy for all campaigns

  • Work with PR to develop press releases, branded event collateral, and talking points for press reviews and influencers

  • Partner with Email Marketing Manager to create subject lines and content

  • Partner with the SEO lead to ensure it’s fully optimized for search but still on-brand

  • Partner with our Retail and Education team to create captivating signage, displaying our fun personality into the retail experience

  • Be up to date on pop culture and new trends, and take initiative to incorporate them into campaigns and content effectively

  • Ensure all copy is written in a consistent voice and style throughout all forms of communications, including brand, video/scripts, ecommerce, social, training tools, collateral, etc.



  • Minimum 4-5 years experience copywriting in a corporate environment or ad agency

  • BA required (Degree in Literature, Creative Writing preferred)

  • Experience writing copy for ecomm, campaigns, traditional/digital advertising

  • Experience and/or high level of interest within Beauty space and/or Wellness is preferred.

  • Conceptual strategic thinker, born-storyteller with meticulous attention-to-detail

  • Exceptional writing portfolio with strong concepts and headlines

  • Ability to work under pressure and in a friendly but fast-paced environment

  • Must have strong editing and proofing skills
