Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 per annum

Client Management and Tax Advisory:

  • Act as the primary contact for a portfolio of UK and international clients, providing expert tax planning and structuring advice.
  • Assist clients with HMRC tax enquiries, personal, partnership, and trust tax returns, and computations.
  • Advise on UK residence, domicile matters, property taxes, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, offshore trusts, and other related issues.
  • Provide pre-arrival tax planning, remittance of funds, and clean capital distinction advice.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Manage and review work undertaken by individuals in the tax team, ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard.
  • Provide regular training on tax matters to the team and actively manage self-development through CPD courses.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the firm's client base, both locally and internationally.
  • Represent the firm at conferences, seminars, and trade missions, showcasing expertise and networking with potential clients.
  • Write articles on specific tax topics for publication and undertake presentations at in-house events, webinars, and international meetings.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Manage the processing of tax returns, P11D's, and ATED returns for the firm, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Control cost budgets, meet reporting timetables, and prepare key client reporting documents.

Software and Technology:

  • Utilize software including CCH, Sage, VT Transaction, QuickBooks, and Xero to streamline tax processes and enhance client service.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or equivalent professional certification.
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in tax consulting or advisory roles within a reputable accountancy firm.
  • Strong technical skills in UK and international tax matters, including accounts and corporation tax.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a drive to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships, generating new business, and meeting revenue targets.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel abroad for conferences, client meetings, and professional development opportunities.
