We are seeking a dynamic, people-centred Communications & Engagement Specialist to join a busy FMCG manufacturing site in Leicester.

This hands-on, impactful role offers the opportunity to lead internal communications, colleague engagement, wellbeing initiatives, and site events. You will bring the company culture to life, ensuring all employees feel informed, valued, and connected.

Key Responsibilities

You will shape the employee experience by:

Co-ordinating the annual engagement and celebration calendar, including Valentine's Day, Mother's/Father's Day, Christmas events, long service awards, and more
Planning and managing site events such as family days, competitions, and recognition activities
Leading internal communications across various channels: email, newsletters, noticeboards, TV screens, and weekly briefings
Creating engaging, relatable content tailored to a diverse and operational workforce
Producing internal publications, including newsletters and site updates
Supporting and delivering the Health & Wellbeing plan, including health clinics, wellbeing campaigns, pension sessions, and challenges
Chairing the Charity & Social Committee and driving corporate social responsibility initiatives within the local community
Managing and promoting the annual staff survey to maximise participation and engagement
Maintaining fresh, engaging, and up-to-date communication channels
Building and nurturing strong relationships with colleagues, managers, and senior leaders across the organisation
Identifying and implementing innovative approaches to enhance communication and engagement
Person Specification

Proven experience in internal communications (essential)
Demonstrated success in delivering engagement activities, campaigns or wellbeing initiatives
Strong event planning and organisational skills
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
Confident stakeholder management and influencing abilities
Experience engaging operational or hard-to-reach workforces
Creative, proactive, and full of innovative ideas
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
