Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIE/DUTIES:

Financial Operations and Reporting

  • Coordinates all accounting operational functions
  • Manages and monitors all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinates and prepares internal and external financial statements
  • In conjunction with the corporate CFO, establishes financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Provides management with information vital to the decision-making process
  • Provides comprehensive financial updates to corporate and branch management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
  • Prepares annual budgets by analyzing financial data and recommending plans
  • Supports achievement of budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and reporting budget analysis data
  • Calculates variances from the budget and reports significant issues to management
  • Monitor business performance metrics and recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

Financial and Corporate Compliance

  • Enforces internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
  • Assists in financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
  • Provides data to external auditors to support the annual audit process
  • Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue and cash management

HR Processes/Management

  • Oversees payroll data and weekly payroll submission. Update financials with necessary Journal Entry postings and bank transfers
  • Calculate employee quarterly commissions including commission report reviews with salesmen.
  • Calculate monthly production Bonus' for technicians
  • Provide recommendations regarding the annual Incentive Bonus Plan for Officers and Key Managers.
  • Facilitate the process of obtaining H2B temporary workers
  • Facilitate the process of visa conversion to permanent workers
  • Oversee Safety programs and recommend improvements
  • Oversees employee onboarding process and benefit administration
  • Oversee WC claims and possible financial impact.
  • Responsible for insurance audits by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing required data

Asset Management

  • Maintain consistency within the asset management system
  • Maintain accuracy within the asset management system adding and removing assets as required

Banking

  • Obtain necessary financing for equipment acquisitions working in conjunction with ALP management

Technology

  • Recommend technology solutions to aid in process improvement in conjunction with ALP management
  • Coordinate the implementation of new technology as needed

Other Responsibilities

  • Facilitate payment to vendors through weekly check runs
  • Oversee the Inventory Management process including monthly reconciliation
  • Perform all EOM processes within Aspire to facilitate monthly closings
  • Oversee all AP and AR functions serving as backup as needed.
  • Oversee Collections

Process and Personnel Management

  • Assesses current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
  • Maintains financial and administrative staff by recruiting, training, and retaining skilled staff
  • Develops financial and administrative staff job results by coaching, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Oversees and supports financial and administrative team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
  • Develop strong relationships with key Operations personnel and assist with problem resolution as needed
  • Recommend improvements in Operations processes as it applies to financial improvements or profitability.
  • Responsible for Other Duties as assigned including but not limited to providing support to the Branch President.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field
  • 10+ years proven accounting experience; 5+ years' experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and regulatory standards
  • 3+ years' experience with payroll and human resource processes preferred
