Reed are currently working with a well-established supplier of electrical products who are looking for a highly motivated Quality Assurance Manager to join the organisation.
Role Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading quality standards across the organisation. This includes ensuring product suitability, legal compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, buying teams, and import operations. The role oversees UK and overseas quality teams and ensures quality management systems, processes, and documentation remain compliant and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (70%)
- Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems in line with ISO and other relevant standards.
- Ensure project quality plans are created, updated, and adapted to operational needs.
- Lead and manage UK and overseas Quality teams, including planning and scheduling workloads.
- Oversee quality processes for incoming materials, inspections, sampling, and compliance checks.
- Act as the main point of contact for quality issues relating to inbound materials, documentation, and non-conformances.
- Review inspection reports, maintain system updates, and issue quality reports when required.
- Build strong relationships with warehouse and quality control teams to support operational efficiency.
- Promote continuous improvement and a "right first time" culture.
- Monitor and act on changes in legislation or product compliance requirements.
- Provide quality training, mentoring, and best-practice guidance to internal teams.
- Lead quality meetings, risk reviews, and investigations into quality, safety, or performance concerns.
- Manage supplier audits, corrective action plans, and ongoing product and process improvements.
- Oversee customer-facing quality activity including audits, approvals, issue resolution, and escalations.
- Manage the full NCR, corrective action, and defect management process.
Process Improvement (30%)
- Lead QMS improvement initiatives and maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
- Manage legal and regulatory requirements such as WEEE, RoHS, and certification needs.
- Support sustainability, environmental, and social performance reporting.
- Conduct audits, investigations, data analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
- Contribute to quality strategy, planning, and business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a Quality role.
- 5+ years auditing experience.
Preferred
- Quality or product experience within Retail or Consumer Goods.
