About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's on-site facilities team at a prestigious commercial building in Moorgate. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established and reputable facilities management company known for delivering high-quality services across London.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance on HVAC systems, pumps, valves, pipework, and other plant equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.

Monitor and maintain building systems including chillers, boilers, AHUs, FCUs, and BMS systems.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Liaise with the on-site facilities team and external contractors to ensure smooth operation of building services.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and report any issues or recommendations.

Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Proven experience in a similar mechanical maintenance role within a commercial building environment.

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant.

Good understanding of health and safety practices.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Experience working in high-end commercial or corporate environments.

Additional qualifications in plumbing or air conditioning systems.

Familiarity with CAFM systems and BMS controls
