About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join a leading logistics provider specialising in parcel and freight distribution. ocusing on acquiring new business and expanding market share in the SME and mid-market sectors.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify, target, and convert new business opportunities within the parcel and freight sector
*
Build and maintain a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking, and outbound sales activity
*
Develop tailored solutions to meet client needs, working closely with operational and commercial teams
*
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
*
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements
*
Maintain CRM data accurately, reporting weekly on pipeline, forecasts, and performance
*
Attend relevant industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
*
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer onboarding process
Requirements:
*
Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within parcel, courier, freight, or logistics sectors
*
Strong understanding of the UK logistics landscape, including express and last-mile delivery
*
Results-oriented with a hunter mentality and ability to work independently
*
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
*
Familiar with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
*
Full UK driving licence - travel across Scotland required
