HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER REQUIRED

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Manager to join a rapidly expanding, modern, mid sized legal firm in the Essex/East London area.

Applicants will have previous experience as an HR Manager ideally in the LEGAL INDUSTRY but the firm would consider someone with ACCOUNTANCY background, have a good understanding of the intricacies of running a successful legal practice.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

HR duties (although not exhaustive!):-

Overseeing Business Support Services recruitment and selection;

Contract compliance and relevant paperwork (ID, proof of address, right to work etc) and onboarding process of all new employees;

All HR and new employee onboarding document production;

General office inductions and H&S office tours for all new employees and organising of Risk and compliance, GDPR and IT inductions with compliance and IT heads for all new employees;

Recording probationary period dates and advising line managers when to meet (and advising beforehand if necessary on any issues Line managers may have);

Guiding Managers with staff issues;

Assisting in firm's yearly appraisal process;

Monitoring aspects of Employee performance in respect of attendance records, sick leave/absences;

Processing all sickness and absence forms (including payroll liaison), and arranging and dealing with Return to Work interviews (where appropriate);

Managing employees' annual leave;

Maintaining all HR records;

Handling internal Grievances, investigations and disciplinary processes;

Managing day to day employee relations including conflict resolution. Regularly meeting with staff who request meetings with HR (as opposed to their line managers);

Organising exit process for leavers.

Ensuring that firm's procedures comply with employment regulations;

Additionally, accessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs for staff.

Our client is seeking someone 3 days per week (Mon, Weds, Fri) and office based, the successful applicant will work closely with the management team to implement policies and strategies that help the business to grow and continue to be an outstanding place to work. The firm have impressive offices, free parking and they are a close knit team.

This is a standalone role and the successful applicant will need to be pragmatic in their approach, CIPD qualifications - Level 5 - are desirable.
