We're now recruiting for a Socio-Economic Planner to join their established planning and advisory team, based in the Birmingham office.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to shape the socio-economic case behind nationally significant infrastructure, regeneration, and strategic development projects. As a Socio-Economic Planner, you'll play a key role in developing evidence-based insights that help create more inclusive, resilient, and economically successful places.
Key Responsibilities: -
Deliver socio-economic assessments in support of planning applications and environmental impact assessments

Prepare a wide range of reports including Economic Impact Assessments, Needs Assessments and Equality Impact Assessments

Support business case development and funding applications for public and private sector clients

Analyse datasets such as census, deprivation indices, labour market and demographic data

Collaborate with internal specialists and external partners to inform planning strategies and decision making

Present findings clearly through high-quality written reports and visualisations
What we're looking for: -
Degree qualified in Planning, Geography, Economics or a related discipline

2-6 years of relevant experience in socio-economic planning or impact assessment

Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail

Ability to interpret and communicate data-driven insights

Understanding of the UK planning system and policy context

Proficiency in Excel and experience with GIS or Power BI would be beneficial
