We are urgently seeking a reliable and experienced Switchboard Operator to join our team in Harefield. This is a key role supporting a busy healthcare environment, ideal for someone with previous NHS experience and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: - Operate the switchboard system to manage and direct incoming calls efficiently.
- Provide courteous and professional service to patients, staff, and external callers.
- Route calls to the appropriate departments or individuals.
- Handle urgent or emergency calls with discretion and speed.
- Maintain accurate records of messages and call logs.
Requirements: - Previous experience in a switchboard or receptionist role is essential.
- NHS experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Mitel phone systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly across day, night, evening, and afternoon shifts.
- Calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
