Job Title: Transport Planner - Pallet Network Specialist
Location: Portsmouth, UK
Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday (Shifts: 05:00-14:00 & 10:00-19:00) + 1-3 Saturdays/month (05:30-10:00)

We're recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a well-established and highly respected haulage company based in Portsmouth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in multi-drop routing, pallet networks, and excellent local knowledge of the Portsmouth area, including postcodes and traffic flow.

The Role:

Planning and managing multi-drop deliveries for a fleet of vehicles

Working within a pallet network environment, coordinating palletised freight

Using local routing knowledge to optimise delivery schedules

Liaising with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers

Adjusting plans in real time to respond to delays or operational changes

Ensuring all transport activities comply with current legislation and safety standards

What We're Looking For:

Experience as a Transport Planner in a haulage or logistics setting

Knowledge of Portsmouth routes and postcodes is essential

Hands-on experience with palletised freight and multi-drop deliveries

Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems under pressure

Flexibility to work rotating shift patterns and occasional Saturdays

Competitive salary up to £37,000 depending on experience

20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Permanent, full-time position

Monday to Friday working with a great team, plus 1-3 Saturday mornings per month
