Salary - Upto 40k DoE

Bonus - 10% - 15% annual company performance related bonus

The Role

My client are looking for an experienced Project Buyer who has a background in managing the full procurement process on ideally joinery based projects, although other industries will be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, and growing, design based business who have customers all over the world including some prestigious brands that you will come across daily. Due to another year of growth and planned growth for 2024, I'm looking for a project buyer who can work in a fast paced environment, working on up to 10 projects at a time. This will include sourcing subcontractors for each component on the project, managing the contract negotiations, logistics, and costs to maximise profits.

Responsibilities

* Take ownership of key projects within the business, through from supplier/subcontractor selection to delivery to the client

* Work with key stakeholders to ensure cost effectiveness and quality of the finished product

* Optimise the supply chain to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency until completion of the project

* Work closely with the Project Manager to plan workload, and prioritize tasks to ensure efficiency of all projects

* Work closely with internal stakeholders to advise on processes and lead times so the customer is always up to speed on availability and project progress

About You

* 3 years of working in a similar role with a bias towards outsourcing, rather than in-house manufacturing

* Ability to source from technical drawings

* Working knowledge of metalwork, joinery, print, injection moulding etc

* Strong organisational skills are essential

* CIPS Level 4 onwards

* Knowledge of import and export processes would be an advantage

* Experience in managing both domestic, and overseas suppliers. Ideally Far East
