The Role - Trainee Accountant:

This full time Trainee Accountant role provides full study support for your professional exams and provides a supportive environment where you can drive your career and ambitions forward. Gaining practical experience and knowledge in audit, accounts, tax, management accounting and a range of accounting software packages, duties will include:

  • Monthly reviews of clients financial information, including profit and tax calculations
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and submissions to HMRC
  • Preparation of client's year end journals and working papers
  • Preparing client's year end company accounts and company tax returns
  • Submission of client year end accounts and company tax returns with HMRC and Companies House
  • Contributing towards the monthly management reporting process
  • Preparation of income references
  • Dealing with and resolving client queries

 

Person Specification:

  • No experience is necessary as full training will be given but a good standard of education up to A-Level or equivalent is required
  • Highly organised, analytical, logical and numerical
  • A willingness to learn
  • Able to work well within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with good initiative
  • Ability to multi-task and work flexibly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
