Job Title: CNC Setter/Operator (Turner)
Location: Wednesbury
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Nights)
Weekly Hours: 46 hours
Pay Rate: £13.50 - £18.00 per hour (DOE)
Shift Allowance: Additional £3.00 per hour

Company Overview:

We are a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Wednesbury, specialising in precision machining and high-quality turned components. Due to ongoing growth and a full order book, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Setter/Operator (Turner) to join our night shift team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components to tight tolerances.

* Load and inspect raw materials and finished parts using measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.

* Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.

* Perform in-process checks and ensure all quality standards are met.

* Adjust tooling and offsets as required to maintain accuracy and performance.

* Conduct basic machine maintenance and report any faults to the supervisor.

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety standards.

* Accurately complete production records and reports.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a CNC Turner - Setter/Operator.

* Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.

* Strong understanding of machining principles and measuring techniques.

* Comfortable working night shifts independently or as part of a team.

* Ideally familiar with Fanuc or similar controls (training can be provided for the right candidate).

* High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
