SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a highly regarded secondary SEND school in Harrow, North West London. This is a full-time, long-term SEND Teaching Assistant job starting ASAP, with strong potential to continue into the next academic year.

The Role - SEND Teaching Assistant (Secondary)

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 11 female pupil with complex learning needs, behavioural needs, and epilepsy, including managing and responding to frequent seizures.

This role requires a First Aid trained SEND Teaching Assistant who is calm under pressure, confident supporting medical needs, and experienced in secondary SEND settings.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 SEND support in a secondary classroom

Support emotional regulation and implement positive behaviour strategies

Manage medical needs, including epilepsy and seizure response

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and support staff

Promote independence, safety and inclusion in a specialist SEND school

The Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant

Proven experience in a secondary SEND school or specialist provision

Experience supporting pupils with complex needs

Strong behaviour management skills using positive strategies

Current First Aid qualification (essential)

Calm, patient, resilient and highly empathetic

Available immediately for handover
