A well established and prestigious secondary school in Hounslow are looking for Teaching assistants who have a good understanding of SEN, to be able support children age 11-16 across their mainstream classes. The teaching assistant role starts in September, trials and interviews will be held in the coming weeks.

The school offer a fantastic enrichment programme for staff to be involved in, also homework and after school clubs.

Parking available on site! Located close to a tube and mainline station.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small group
Carry out assessments and observations as instructed by teachers
Support with numeracy - with a focus on students with special needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, the students you support will vary age 11-16
Write progress reports for students with SEN and varied abilitiesIdeal skills and requirements:

Math or science related degree
Experience working with children in any setting/ understanding of SEN
Experience working in a care setting e.g support worker or healthcare assistant
Enthusiastic attitude towards learning.
