What You'll Be Doing - Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a team of skilled engineers and technicians
* Plan, coordinate and oversee PPM
* Respond rapidly to machinery breakdowns to reduce downtime
* Manage contractors and issue permits to work
* Champion health & safety compliance and site procedures
* Mentor apprentices and junior team members
* Drive continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives
* This is a hands on supervisory role, ideal for someone who enjoys both leadership and technical involvement in a busy production environment.
What We're Looking For:
* Solid background in planned and reactive maintenance within manufacturing, production, or a process plant environment
* Previous experience in a maintenance team leader or supervisor role (or be ready to take the step up having previously stood in for a supervisor or manager)
* Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills
* Confident with permit to work systems and contractor management
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or above in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline
* Apprenticeship background highly desirable
Easily commutable from Erdington, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Coventry, Birmingham & Solihull.
