Salary: £28000 - £30000/annum + great company benefits

We are proud to working alongside our client, a well-established national organisation with their search for a Purchasing Administrator to be based on site in Shrewsbury

What does the role involve?

* Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and place purchase orders

* Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock

* Collaborate with internal teams to understand their purchasing needs and requirements

* Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules

* Track orders and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise

* Monitor supplier performance and address any concerns or quality issues

* Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service

* Provide backup for customer orders when needed

Your Experience

* Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar procurement role

* Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes

* Proficient in using procurement systems and tools

* Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and pricing

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier capabilities and performance

* Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers

* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
