We’re supporting a well-established and growing accountancy firm in Leigh-on-Sea who are seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied role covering Accounts, Management Accounts, VAT, and Tax, with the flexibility of hybrid working.

The Role

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting on a range of compliance and advisory tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for SMEs and owner-managed businesses
• Producing monthly/quarterly management accounts with insightful commentary
• Completing VAT returns and providing guidance on VAT queries
• Assisting with corporation and personal tax computations
• Supporting juniors and reviewing work where required
• Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Part-qualified ACCA/ACA or AAT Qualified (or QBE with strong practice experience)
• Experienced in an accountancy practice environment
• Confident working across Accounts, VAT, Tax and Management Accounts
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload
• Strong with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
