SEN Teaching Assistant - EYFS (Reception) - Lewisham Primary School - September 2025 Start

Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive primary school?

A welcoming mainstream primary school in Lewisham is working with us to recruit a full-time Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team this September 2025. This is a full-time, term-time only role (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm), running until July 2026, with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right person.

The Role:

Supporting a child with special educational needs (SEN) in a Reception class

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individualised support

Providing 1:1 and small group interventions in line with the EYFS curriculum

Personal care duties are required

Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Job Details:

Start Date: September 2025

Location: Lewisham, South East London

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Pay: £90 - £100 per day (PAYE), increasing to £110 - £120 after 13 weeks

Paid weekly via our internal payroll system (no umbrella company deductions)

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Nursery Nurse, ideally in an early years or SEN setting

Confident supporting children with EHCPs or additional needs

A patient, proactive, and positive attitude

Comfortable with personal care responsibilities

Strong communication and teamwork skills
