✨ About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them access the curriculum and positively engage in learning. You will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and wider staff to ensure pupils' individual needs are met.

✨ Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs

Assist with personalised learning plans and targeted interventions

Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social skills

Work alongside the class teacher to deliver inclusive and engaging learning

Promote a positive, nurturing, and safe learning environment

Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals when required

✨ Requirements

Experience supporting children with SEN (Autism, ADHD, ASC, SEMH, or other needs)

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

Strong communication and behaviour management skills

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

SEN/Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential
