Job Title: Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack JavaScript)
Location: Derby
Salary: £80,000 - £95,000

We're seeking an experienced Software Engineering Lead to join us as part of the expansion in our Development team. This is a great opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role, helping to design, build, and scale the systems that support our core products and services.
What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee the design and implementation of product features in our applications, APIs, and information gathering systems
• Scale infrastructure in line with our growth
• Collaborate closely with our product and design teams
• Lead by example in code quality, performance optimisation, and system reliability
• Play a key role in architectural decisions and lead complex technical projects
• Own features from concept through to deployment and monitoring, with a focus on scalability, user impact, and performance

What We're Looking For:

• 7+ years of back-end development experience in a professional environment
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript and NodeJS
• Hands-on experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and system monitoring
• Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset
