We are seeking a passionate and experienced Read, Write Inc. Fast Track Tutor to deliver targeted interventions to accelerate the progress of children who are struggling to keep up with their peers in reading.
Day-to-day of the role: - Deliver the Read Write Inc. Phonics programme with consistency and fidelity.
- Accelerate progress in reading, particularly for children who are working below age-related expectations.
- Provide targeted, high-impact 1:1 or small-group interventions to build reading fluency, accuracy, and confidence.
- Utilize strong assessment and diagnostic skills to track pupil progress and adapt teaching in response to need.
- Coach, mentor, and deliver training to staff to ensure high-quality, consistent delivery of Read Write Inc. across the school.
- Work effectively with pupils, staff, and families to improve literacy outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of delivering the Read Write Inc. Phonics programme.
- Proven track record of accelerating progress in reading.
- Ability to pinpoint and address specific gaps in phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, and comprehension.
- Experience in providing targeted, high-impact interventions.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resilience, adaptability, and a solutions-focused attitude.
