Team Leader  Location: HA3, Brent Contract: Initial 3 months Hours: 36 hours per week Rate: £31 per hour (Umbrella) (£23 PAYE an hour) We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader – Day Services to join Brent Council’s Direct Services team. This role involves leading staff to deliver person-centred day care services for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour, supporting them to live with greater independence, choice and community participation.KeyResponsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day management of staff delivering community-based day services.
• Ensure the service is safe, responsive and compliant with legislation and quality standards.
• Develop educational, vocational and recreational activities tailored to service users’ needs.
• Promote personalised, community-based support and build strong links with local organisations.
• Manage staff rotas, supervision and performance, ensuring effective service delivery.
• Work as part of the Direct Services management team and deputise for the Manager when required.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.
• Experience leading or supervising staff teams in a day care or community support setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act and health & safety legislation.
