We are seeking a passionate and nurturing EYFS Class Teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school in Chingford, Waltham Forest from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner who understands the importance of high-quality early education and the impact it has on children’s lifelong learning.

About the role:You will lead a Reception class within our Early Years setting, creating a stimulating, language-rich environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development, and will be committed to ensuring all pupils make excellent progress from their starting points.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a secure understanding of the EYFS statutory framework

  • Delivers engaging, play-based learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors

  • Has high expectations for behaviour and achievement

  • Is skilled in early phonics and early mathematics teaching

  • Uses assessment effectively to inform planning and next steps

  • Builds strong partnerships with parents and carers

  • Works collaboratively as part of a supportive team

  • Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
