verview:We are currently seeking an experienced HV CAD Engineer to support a major National Grid project. This is a fully remote, Outside IR35 contract with an immediate start, offering the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure within the UK energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings for high-voltage substation projects.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate and compliant design documentation.
• Support the delivery of detailed design packages in line with National Grid standards.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input where required.
• Ensure all drawings meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in substation design within the UK power transmission sector.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software (2D & 3D).
• Familiarity with National Grid standards and documentation processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables remotely.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

• Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
