Velox Social Care is currently recruiting dedicated Support Workers to support Children and Young People (CYP) across the Cumbria area (CA11 7JQ) for potential upcoming placements. This role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred support to young people who require structured care and guidance.

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with our Care Management Team and external agencies to help create safe, supportive environments where young people can thrive.

Your Role

• Support children and young people to make positive progress through care, encouragement, and guidance
• Maintain accurate daily logs and communicate effectively with colleagues and management
• Work alongside external professionals to ensure holistic care and support
• Work a mixture of long and short shifts depending on client needs

We offer flexible shift options, including days, nights, and ongoing block bookings, depending on placement availability.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Right to Work in the UK
• Minimum 6 months experience in a similar CYP setting (preferably in the UK)
• 3 References - 2 professional and 1 character
• In-date PMVA or Team Teach certificate (PMVA trained candidates must be willing to complete Team Teach training)
• Enhanced Child DBS subscribed to the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Level 2 or Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification preferred
• Drivers preferred or candidates willing to travel within the Cumbria area
• Drivers using their vehicle for work must have Business Insurance (BI)
• Experience supporting challenging behaviours is essential
