PMLD Teaching Assistant (Full Time) 
Canterbury
£441 to £510 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

Vision for Education are seeking to recruit additional Teaching Assistants to work within our partner SEND Provision within the Canterbury area.

The school you will be working in is dedicated to provide quality provisions and learning experiences for their students which is both appropriate and personalised in meeting a wide range of complex needs for students from 10 to 19 years old. The students remain at the heart of every decision the school makes to ensure that they are happy, safe and confident and that the opportunities they offer are matched to their needs for the present and for the future.

Requirements 

The desired Teaching Assistant will; 

Have experience of hoisting/moving and handling of service users
Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years.
Be a dedicated and skilled professional with a clear pupil-centred focus
Be aspirational and highly committed to improving the learning attainments and lives of pupils with PMLD.
Have experience in working with pupils with PMLD, many of whom experience complex medical needs, or is able to demonstrate transferable skills from another employment area.
Have a robust and resilient practitioner able to perform in a dynamic and challenging environment.
