Salary: £155 - £230 per day

Do you hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for secondary school or an equivalent teaching certification required for this position?

In this role, you'll play a crucial role in shaping student's physical well-being and instilling lifelong values of fitness and sportsmanship. You'll design and deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to student's diverse interests and abilities, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive PE curriculum in alignment with educational standards
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Organise and monitor extracurricular sports activities and events
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3 and 4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
