Are you passionate about helping young people succeed in the classroom? Tradewind is currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school, providing essential in-class and small-group support to students who require additional help with their learning.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support students with a range of additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and make positive progress. This is a rewarding role where every day offers the chance to make a meaningful difference to a young person's education.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing in-class support to students, helping them engage with learning tasks

Delivering small-group or one-to-one interventions as directed by the SENCO

Supporting students with special educational needs, including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties

Helping students build confidence, self-esteem, and independence

Assisting teachers with classroom management and differentiated tasks

Maintaining accurate records and supporting student support plans

What We're Looking For:

Experience working with young people in a school or support setting (SEN experience desirable)

A caring, patient, and supportive approach

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to follow teacher direction and work as part of a team

Basic IT skills and good organisational ability

A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
