Job Title: Building Services Shift Supervisor

 Location: Canary Wharf, London

 Salary: £50,000 + £4,000 Shift Allowance

 Shift Pattern: Continental (7/7 - days and nights)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Services Shift Supervisor to join a prestigious commercial site in Canary Wharf. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in one of London's most iconic business districts, overseeing critical building services operations on a continental shift pattern.

As Shift Supervisor, you will lead a team of engineers to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all mechanical and electrical systems within a high-profile commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate shift engineers and contractors on-site.

Ensure all planned and reactive maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard.

Monitor and maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.

Respond to emergency situations and escalate issues as required.

Maintain accurate records of work completed and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.

Support the Engineering Manager with audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Proven experience in building services within a commercial environment.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Familiarity with BMS systems and permit-to-work procedures.
