Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We're working with a fantastic specialist school in Islington looking for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a setting where every day is about patience, progress, and properly supporting pupils with additional needs.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, and complex needs

Working 1:1 and in small groups

Helping create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff

Celebrating every bit of progress, however small

This isn't about standing at the back of the classroom. It's about being right there, building trust, encouraging independence, and helping pupils feel understood.

What we're looking for:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND

A calm, patient, and resilient approach

Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence

A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
