The role itself

The purpose of the Bid Writer role is to assist the Bid Co-ordinator in producing high quality bid responses in-line with deadlines, with the goal of supporting the ongoing growth of the business.

The role will involve:

· Monitoring software for new tender opportunities, registering interest and reviewing tenders to present to relevant teams

· Support in building tender pipelines and forecasts

· Oversee, manage, record and track all stages within the tender process

· PQQ and ITT compilation

· Keeping up to date and communication tender clarifications to relevant parties

· Support in compiling high quality tender submissions

· Support in maintaining current contracts and framework placements

· Take responsibility for submitting bids in-line with deadlines and requirements

· Work closely with relevant teams across the business to obtain technical information required to write high quality draft answers

· Undertake quality review process to continuously improve draft answers

· Maintain tender question bank

· Conduct post-bid analysis to support ongoing development

· Support in maintaining compliance accreditations such as CHAS, Constructionline, Safe Contractor

· Complete any duties supporting tender submissions and bid management

· Support in researching clients, and competitors

Qualifications and experience:

1 years' experience bid writing, bid co-ordinating, or similar preferred.

A bachelor's degree or higher is desirable within a writing-based subject such as English, Journalism, Creative Writings, Business Administration, or within a construction or technical field.

High level written and verbal communication skills.

Understanding of public sector procurement

Knowledge of the asbestos and/or water hygiene industry would be beneficial but not essential.

Negotiable depending on experience.
