Deputy Manager - Progress Your Leadership Career in a Dual Needs Home

Location: Radstock/Bath | Salary: £32,000-£35,000 + Sleep-in Payments (up to £38,276 total)

Are you ready to step into a leadership role that offers both challenge and opportunity? We're recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a well-established children's home registered for up to 3 children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). With the current Deputy recently promoted to House Manager, this is a fantastic chance to build on your experience and contribute meaningfully to a supportive and ambitious team.

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you'll play a key part in the leadership and smooth running of the home, supporting the Registered Manager while taking on significant operational responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the care team

Ensure high-quality, therapeutic care for children with EBD and LD

Support compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding requirements

Lead shifts, manage key working responsibilities, and contribute to team development

Participate in weekly sleep-ins (paid in addition to salary)

What Makes This Exciting:

Strong internal progression culture - previous Deputy promoted to House Manager

Small home with a big impact - registered for just 3 children

Dual registration - gain valuable experience across both EBD and LD needs

Additional earnings - regular sleep-ins paid extra, raising total package to £35,276-£38,276

Supportive team culture - leadership that encourages growth and collaboration

About You:

We're looking for someone who brings energy, resilience, and a commitment to making a difference:

Experience working with children with EBD and/or LD in a residential setting

Strong leadership qualities - confident leading shifts and supporting staff

Level 3 Diploma (Residential Childcare) essential; working towards or open to Level 5

Hands-on, proactive, and not afraid to 'get stuck in'

Passionate about delivering excellent outcomes for children

Why Join This Provider?

This is a provider that actively supports internal development and truly values its team. With a history of promoting from within, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to high-quality, child-centred care, this is an excellent environment to thrive in your career.
