A well-established and growing food processing manufacturer is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of a Day Shift Engineer. As part of the engineering team, you'll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly. You'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns, ensuring machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently and reliably. The role offers a varied workload in a fast-paced environment, where your input will genuinely make a difference to site performance.

The Role

* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and processing equipment
* Support production teams to minimise downtime and improve reliability
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure high safety standards

The Ideal Candidate

* Time-served engineer with a recognised engineering qualification
* Strong mechanical or electrical background (multi-skilled advantageous)
* Experience working in manufacturing, food, or FMCG environments
* Proactive, hands-on approach with strong fault-finding skills
* A team player with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
