HR Business Partner

Fixed term contract 12-18 months

Salary: £50,000-£60,000k pro rata

Are you an experienced HR professional passionate about shaping organisational culture and driving strategic objectives? Our client, a prominent institution in higher education, is seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner to join their team. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are ready to drive strategic HR initiatives, we want to hear from you!

Your role will be key in partnering with senior leaders, acting as a trusted advisor and critical friend to influence and challenge decision making and support in achieving effective outcomes. This role is instrumental in providing high quality strategic advice on a range of topics including organisational design, cultural change, performance and talent management and workforce planning. You will lead recruitment efforts and manage complex employee relations in a unionised environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organisational goals.
Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support our mission and values.
Analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve business outcomes.
Support recruitment efforts to attract top talent to our institution.

What We're Looking For:

An experienced HR professional with demonstrable experience of working within large, complex and diverse organisations, higher education experience is preferred.
Demonstrable experience of change management including organisational design, restructures and redundancies.
Previous experience of working in a unionised environment, leading on resolving complex employee relations issues and consultations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
A strategic thinker with the ability to challenge and influence key decision making.
Adaptable and open-minded, ready to embrace change and drive continuous improvement.
Skilled in data analysis and using insights to inform HR strategy.
