SEND Mediation Co-ordinator - North West

We're currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in the North West who are looking to appoint an experienced Mediation Co-ordinator to support their SEND service.

Contract details:

Day rate: £180 - £300 per day (depending on experience - please state your required rate)
Contract length: 3-6 months initially (covering long-term sickness)
Working pattern: To be confirmed
Start: ASAPThe role:
You'll be responsible for managing mediation and SEND appeal-related cases, ensuring the Local Authority meets its statutory responsibilities around appeals to the SEND Tribunal (SENDIST / HMCTS).

This role will involve:

Managing a caseload of mediation and SEN appeal cases
Working closely with parents, schools and commissioned mediation services
Building strong relationships with education providers and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people
Supporting the reduction of tribunal risk through effective early resolution and case management
Working within the statutory and legal framework of the SEND Tribunal processReferral bonus:
