Blueprint Recruitment has a fantastic new opportunity for a driven Associate Structural Engineer to join a well-known Engineering and Design Consultancy on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will attend the Cardiff office 5 times per week to contribute to a variety of exciting projects.

Our client is a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy that offers the opportunity to work with committed Engineers, Designers and Technicians. They are expanding their dynamic team due to the increasing demand for services in a range of sectors, including, Transport, Commercial, Rail, Industrial and Residential.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify opportunities and lead/support business development and bidding activities
Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with key and prospective clients
Take technical responsibility for structural engineering design delivery
Review calculations, drawings, and specifications on projects
Manage projects and design processes for consultancy services, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
Serve as the interface between the company and clients/stakeholders
Coordinate and manage inputs from other disciplines into projects
Contribute to the development and growth of the structural engineering teamKey Requirements:

Degree-qualified Structural Engineer
Extensive postgraduate experience in major structural Engineering building projects
Proven track record in design delivery, specifically in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber designs from concept to detailed delivery- Detailed knowledge of design codes and standards related to Structural Engineering

Knowledge of construction implementation with proven site supervision and contract administration experience
Proven track record in delivering technically excellent design projects on time and to budget
Sound commercial understanding of the consultancy business
Detailed knowledge and experience of 2D and 3D design software packages, with an understanding of their suitability for project-level use
Good communicator with proficiency in written, verbal, and presentation skills
Natural curiosity for developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for clients
A winning attitude with a proven record of developing client relationships and winning new consultancy workBenefits:
