RG Consultancy are working with a successful growing manufacturing business located in Winsford who are recruiting a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is a brand-new role created role created to support the Finance Manager with the day-to-day management of the finance department

Role responsibilities

• Assist with the production of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Support budgeting, forecasting and regular variance analysis
• Monitor costs, margins and key performance indicators
• Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Assist with improving financial processes, systems and internal controls
• Work closely with the wider business to provide financial insight
• Support year-end procedures and audit requirements
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the Finance Manager as needed
• Support with training and development of an Accounts Assistant

Person specification

• Proven experience working as an assistant management accountant or a management accountant for 2+ years
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or actively studying to become fully qualified
• Strong systems and IT skills, including advanced MS excel skills
• Experience working within a manufacturing business would be an advantage
• Experience of leading or overseeing a small accounts team would be an advantage but not essential
